These are some of my drawings I did last year and as far back as 2006. I used compressed charcoal (kinda hard) and vine charcoal (soft and smudgy). Posting these reminds me that I haven't used charcoal in quite a while and I really need to get back into it! Its a great medium to use because its very versatile.
I used a glass bottle, a woman's shoe, and a felt hat...sorry about the glare!

I love the bones and notebook paper in this one...kinda an odd combo of stuff!

Those are two female figure busts that are leaning against a cardboard box...for some special effects I used a terra cota colered compressed charcoal that I had recently bought and never used before. It came out quite nicely!

One of my favorites! There are small seashells in the glass container!

Just some odd shapes and ends...mostly just a study on shadow and form.
